American Sign Language
ASL 1 is an introduction to manual communication. American Sign Language 1 will include basic grammar, vocabulary, fingerspelling, numbers, history of deaf culture, and storytelling. The overall objective of Sign Language 1 is to provide communication between deaf and hearing people in an educational setting that allows students to give their full attention to learning signing vocabulary along with proper body language, facial expression, syntax, and other language skills that aid in the acquisition of a non-verbal language.
