Physical Education 1

9th-10th graders
Semester
The students will receive instruction and practice on lifetime activities, with the emphasis on physical fitness for now and the future. The class will include activities in sports and recreation, with priority given to calisthenics, flexibility and strength endurance. Teamwork is practiced by the organization of teams and running of tournaments within the class. One semester of Physical Education should be completed by the end of your sophomore year. 

Physical Education 2

Semester
Must pass at least one semester of P.E. before taking this class.
The students will receive instruction and practice on lifetime activities, with the emphasis on physical fitness for now and the future. The class will include activities in sports and recreation, with priority given to strength, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Teamwork is practiced by the organization of teams and running of tournaments within the class. 

Women's Fitness

Semester 
Must pass at least one semester of P.E. before taking this class.
A physical education class designed just for female students! Do you feel run down-tired or just plain out of energy? Join in and increase your fitness level! The program will combine a variety of fitness formats. These will include, Aerobics, Tae Bo Workouts, Step Aerobics, Pilates, Pyro metric floor strength conditioning, Machine weight circuit training, jogging, power-walking and interval training using sprinting & jogging. 

Athletic Conditioning

Semester
Must have passed at least one semester of P.E. before taking this class. Also must be a two sport athlete.
Athletic conditioning is a physical conditioning class that targets the specific needs of our student athletes. Resistance training, through the use of weights, machines and whole body exercises are used to improve the overall fitness of the students while working on the specific needs of the student’s chosen sports. Hard work, anatomical/mechanical knowledge and technique are key factors to success in this class. Students are expected to follow specific workouts and routines and may be asked to develop a workout of their own. Emphasis is placed on healthy lifestyle, personal fitness and physical performance. Fitness tests are used at the beginning and end of each semester to monitor progress. 69 | P a g e Industrial Arts Industrial arts is the study of the production of goods and services and how they relate to our society. As a consumer nation new types of work skills are needed as old ones are eliminated. New production processes often require new raw materials which must be located and processed for use. These changes in materials and processes affect workers and their families who must be able to adapt to the changes. As a student in these classes you will be able to experience some of these developments and how they might affect you.

Physical conditioning is a class dedicated to increasing strength, flexibility and endurance. Resistance training, through the use of weights, machines and whole body exercises are used to improve the overall fitness of the students.
