In the Computer Applications course, students acquire knowledge of and experience in the proper and efficient use Microsoft Office 2010 Suite. This course explores a wide range of applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and database programs. Skills in producing quality documents, including error free work are emphasized.

WORD PROCESSING I

The Word Processing I course introduces students to automated document production using Microsoft Word 2010. It emphasizes keyboarding techniques and speed and accuracy. The course also focuses on the use of software commands and functions to create, edit, and manipulate documents, capitalizing on the power offered by MS Word 2010.

WORD PROCESSING II

Pre: Word Processing I or Computer Applications
2+2 College Credit Available (OA201-Word Processing)
*Can be taken for Honors Credit
The Word Processing II course requires students to apply automated document production using Microsoft Word 2010. The focus is placed on the use of software commands and functions to create, edit, format, and manipulate documents, capitalizing on the power offered by MS Word. This course also covers file and disk management and other computer-related skills.
